Have you ever
changed or edited a file but also needed to keep previous
versions? Probably so. However, on our PCs, we generally are
forced to continually change the file name to manage the various
file versions (e.g. buget.doc, budget_1.doc, budget_2.doc and so
on).
When you have different file versions stored on your laptop and
desktop at home or work, it can get chaotic. The confusion is
compounded when you're sharing versions with other users.
